** ICHI THE KILLER 4K UHD: Here's a look at the cover for the upcoming release.
** I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER: A new behind-the-scenes photo has been released from the upcoming I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER which is currently in production ahead of a release next year. The shot, posted on the official social media channels of the film, shows off the famed fisherman's hook that killer Ben Willis wielded in the films along with part of a raincoat.
As it's a continuation many years later, Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt have signed on to reprise their respective roles as Ray Bronson and Julie James. Plot details however are under wraps. Joining them will be Jonah Hauer-King, Madelyn Cline, Sarah Pidgeon, Chase Sui Wonders, Tyriq Withers, Lola Tung, Austin Nichols, Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Gabbriette.
The film is being directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from a screenplay she co-wrote with Sam Lansky, Jeff Howard, and Leah McKendrick. Neal Moritz produces. The new I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER opens in cinemas July 18th 2025. (thanks to DarkHorizons.com)

** THANKSGIVING 2: Director Eli Roth has teased that the sequel to the hit slasher movie will be on a whole new level. The screenplay for THANKSGIVING 2 has already been written, with the production set to commence in March 2025. Both Roth and THANKSGIVING screenwriter Jeff Rendell returned to write the script for the follow-up movie, with the former directing once again.
In an interview with IndieWire, the director said that he's treating the second movie as if it'd be his last. While Roth aims to outdo himself in THANKSGIVING 2, he also plans to do it with a lower budget, similar to the first one. The first film garnered over $40 million at the global box office against a $15 million project.
"We're upping the ante but we are not going to do it with more money. That keeps it tight and lean and mean and forces us to make decisions. There's a lot of setting up that we did in the first one that we don't have to deal with now. It can just be all pay-off," said Roth.
"I've come up with stuff that is going to be a challenge. And I want it to be a challenge to pull off. Because if I've come up with the stuff that I think will make the best kills, then I'm going to do it like I'm never going to make another movie again," Roth added.
He continued, "It really was a reminder of the deep satisfaction I get just knowing there is a THANKSGIVING movie out there and that people enjoy it and that people are now watching the old slasher films because of it. I feel like we have a new tradition. And that's all you want to do is leave your mark — good or bad — on pop culture. Eventually, no one is going to remember. ** DEEPER: Rumored earlier this Summer, filmmaker Doug Liman has confirmed he'll re-team with his EDGE OF TOMORROW star Tom Cruise for the supernatural thriller DEEPER at Warner Bros. Pictures. Appearing at a screening of the documentary GAUCHO GAUCHO, Liman indicated to Showbiz411 that he and Cruise are moving forward with their 'scary' movie, adding: "I have never done one, and neither has Tom Cruise."
The supernatural thriller was originally penned by Max Landis and has been floating around Hollywood for a decade. At one time filmmaker Baltasar Kormakur was attached to direct. The story follows a disgraced former astronaut hired to take a submersible to the deepest part of the ocean to explore a newly discovered trench.
